API key

Uses your own credential — Verslay stores it encrypted

    Sign in to Adafruit IO
    Open https://io.adafruit.com/ and sign in to the account you want to connect.

    Create the API key
    Generate a new API key from the API or developer settings in your Adafruit IO dashboard.
  3. 3
    Copy it immediately
    Adafruit IO usually shows the full API key only once, right after you create it. Store it somewhere safe before closing the page.

    Connect in Verslay
    In the Verslay Hub, open Connections, find Adafruit IO, and paste the API key into the Adafruit IO Key, Adafruit IO Username field.

    Verify
    The connection flips to Connected. Run any read-only action once to confirm the credential has the right scopes.

    Rotate safely
    When you rotate later: connect the new credential first, confirm it works, then revoke the old one.

Adafruit IO Key

Your account-wide Adafruit IO key. On any Adafruit IO page, click the golden key icon (or select "View Adafruit IO Key" in the small-screen menu), then copy the active key. Keep it secret; regenerating it immediately invalidates the old key

Your Adafruit IO account username, shown in your Adafruit IO profile and used in account resource paths such as /{username}/feeds. Enter the username that owns the Adafruit IO key.
