- 1Sign in to VapiOpen https://vapi.ai and sign in to the account you want to connect.
- 2Create the API keyGenerate a new API key from the API or developer settings in your Vapi dashboard.
- 3Copy it immediatelyVapi usually shows the full API key only once, right after you create it. Store it somewhere safe before closing the page.
- 4Connect in VerslayIn the Verslay Hub, open Connections, find Vapi, and paste the API key into the Private API Key field.
- 5VerifyThe connection flips to Connected. Run any read-only action once to confirm the credential has the right scopes.
- 6Rotate safelyWhen you rotate later: connect the new credential first, confirm it works, then revoke the old one.

Your Vapi Private API key, a UUID like 1a2b3c4d-... (not the public pbk_live_ key). In dashboard.vapi.ai, click your profile → Vapi API Keys and copy the Private key.
