Uses your own credential — Verslay stores it encrypted

    Sign in to Clay
    Open https://clay.com and sign in to the account you want to connect.

    Create the API key
    Generate a new API key from the API or developer settings in your Clay dashboard.
  3. 3
    Copy it immediately
    Clay usually shows the full API key only once, right after you create it. Store it somewhere safe before closing the page.

    Connect in Verslay
    In the Verslay Hub, open Connections, find Clay, and paste the API key into the Clay Public API Key field.

    Verify
    The connection flips to Connected. Run any read-only action once to confirm the credential has the right scopes.
  6. 6
    Rotate safely
    When you rotate later: connect the new credential first, confirm it works, then revoke the old one.

Clay Public API Key

Create or copy your personal Public API key in Clay under Settings > Account > API keys (beta). The key is tied to your Clay user and the workspaces that user can access. Keep it secret.
