- 1Sign in to WatiOpen https://www.wati.io/ and sign in to the account you want to connect.
- 2Create the API keyGenerate a new API key from the API or developer settings in your Wati dashboard.
- 3Copy it immediatelyWati usually shows the full API key only once, right after you create it. Store it somewhere safe before closing the page.
- 4Connect in VerslayIn the Verslay Hub, open Connections, find Wati, and paste the API key into the Base URL, Wati Access Token field.
- 5VerifyThe connection flips to Connected. Run any read-only action once to confirm the credential has the right scopes.
- 6Rotate safelyWhen you rotate later: connect the new credential first, confirm it works, then revoke the old one.
What you’ll paste into Verslay
The base URL for the Wati API. For paid plans, use this: https://live-mt-server.wati.io and must provide your tenant ID.
The access token required for authenticating API requests. You can obtain it from the Wati UI under the 'API Docs' section. Note: Changing your Wati account password will invalidate the current access token.
The tenant ID (Client ID) for Wati paid accounts. This is generated when you register for a paid MT account and is used to log in. You can find it in the Wati URL when logged in or in your profile under "Client ID".
