HubSpot connects either with a private app token you create, or with HubSpot's own sign-in. Pick OAuth if you want the shortest path. Pick the token if you want to control exactly what it can see.

- For the token route: a HubSpot private app access token, which starts with pat-.
- In HubSpot, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Private Apps. Open or create an app and click Show token.
- For OAuth: nothing to copy. You sign in with HubSpot and approve access.

Uses your own credential — Verslay stores it encrypted

- 2Create the API keyGenerate a new API key from the API or developer settings in your HubSpot dashboard.
- 3Copy it immediatelyHubSpot usually shows the full API key only once, right after you create it. Store it somewhere safe before closing the page.
- 4Connect in VerslayIn the Verslay Hub, open Connections, find HubSpot, and paste the API key into the API Key field.
- 5VerifyThe connection flips to Connected. Run any read-only action once to confirm the credential has the right scopes.
- 6Rotate safelyWhen you rotate later: connect the new credential first, confirm it works, then revoke the old one.
What you’ll paste into Verslay

If it does not connect
- Verslay rejects my HubSpot token.
- Check it starts with pat- and that it comes from a private app, not an old API key. HubSpot shows it after you click Show token.
- Some HubSpot objects are missing.
- A private app only sees the scopes you gave it. Add the scopes in HubSpot, then reconnect.
